Meta Data Use Notice

This notice complements the Privacy Policy and explains how Alexandria uses the Instagram (Meta) integration when you choose to publish content to your Instagram account from Alexandria.

Summary:

  • Alexandria publishes to Instagram only when you request it (e.g., Reels).
  • We process and temporarily store the minimum technical information needed to complete the publishing operation (e.g., account ID and a technical authorization).
  • We do not store your Instagram credentials (username/password).
  • We do not import Instagram content into Alexandria as part of this integration.
  • Temporary technical information is deleted once publishing completes or if the process fails.

1. What the integration does

The integration enables you to publish to your Instagram account content you created or configured within Alexandria, only at your request.

2. What you will see in the app

Typical flow:

  1. Connect Instagram (Meta)
  2. Confirm account
  3. Publish content (e.g., a Reel)

3. Data we process (minimum)

To complete the requested publishing operation, we process:

  • Account identifier (ID) to know where to publish.
  • A technical authorization (token) issued by Meta after you authenticate, needed to perform the publishing operation.

4. What we store and for how long

  • We temporarily store, in encrypted form, the account ID and technical authorization while the publishing process runs (including the checks needed until the platform confirms the publish can complete).
  • Once publishing completes, or if the process fails, we delete that temporary technical information.
  • If needed to complete the operation, the technical authorization may be renewed if it expires during the process.

5. What we do not do

  • We do not store Instagram credentials (username/password).
  • We do not import or store Instagram-originated content as part of this integration.
  • We do not access Instagram data beyond what is necessary to complete the requested publishing operation.

6. Where processing happens

Publishing-related processing happens on our systems. Communication with Instagram (Meta) is limited to what is necessary to complete the requested operation.

7. Limited use

The integration is used only to provide the requested functionality (publishing to Instagram). We do not use information received through this integration for advertising or unrelated purposes.
